About Us

We are a working training facility, located in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. Our focus is relationship based training; developing understanding, communication, trust and confidence as fundamental qualities in every horse we handle. Developing this foundation naturally leads to an easy, intuitive partnership that makes all interactions, including training to higher levels, profoundly rewarding. 

 

About the Trainer

Nicolette Birnie’s extensive, hands-on experience with large groups of wild horses has fine tuned her unique ability to read horses, understand how they move, think and silently communicate, and how to form a true partnership with any horse.

From highly trained performance horses to wild mustangs, Nicolette expertly breaks down the steps to help her students connect and communicate with horses. Her desire to share her magical world is why she enjoys helping people to understand the true nature of the horse. 

 

Our Horses

We work with all breeds of horses and have a variety of breeds on sight, including gentled and/or wild mustangs. With both older and younger horses present, we are able to integrate guests with those equine partners who are most suitable for their level of experience and skill. 

 

Bring Your Own Horse

You are welcome and encouraged to bring your own horse. Our facilities include individual corral/paddock space as well as overnight barn stalls depending on your preference. You provide hay/feed.

 

Corral/paddock: $25/day (includes optional feeding your feed & mucking) 

 

Bedded stall with day corral: $45/day (includes optional feeding & mucking) 

 

No charge for local haul-ins.
